Welcome to ESM, where learning meets innovation!
At ESM, we believe in innovative and engaging learning that sparks curiosity and builds essential skills—critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. These are embedded throughout our curriculum to help students thrive in college, career, and citizenship.
Excellence in learning is our top priority. We challenge students at every level with hands-on, minds-on experiences designed to deepen understanding and promote rigorous thinking.
Our vision is to become an exemplary student-centered learning community whose graduates are future focused and ready to excel in a complex, interconnected, changing world. This vision is reflected in our programs, priorities, and recent recognitions—both statewide and at the national level.
Our mission is to prepare students for the future by engaging every learner in inclusive, equitable, and student-centered learning communities. We nurture the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional well-being of all students, and we celebrate the diversity that strengthens our schools and our partnerships with families and the wider community.
In 2025-26, we celebrate the 10th anniversary as one of the first 27 designated STEM Learning Ecosystems in the U.S., working in partnership with families, after-school programs, businesses, higher education, and museums. ESM has also been recognized as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education” in the country every year since 2013.
We know that strong family-school partnerships are essential to student success. Throughout the year, we are committed to maintaining clear and open communication with families through our website, Student-Parent Portal, and social media platforms.
We encourage all parents and community members to stay connected, get involved, and join us at school events and activities. Your ideas, energy, and support play a vital role in helping every ESM student succeed.
Together, we make learning powerful!
Most sincerely,
Dr. Donna DeSiato
